    Protein in a pill for may not have a negative effect necessarily, but it would be beneficial to vary your protien sources. You want to supply your body with protein throughout the day, not just when you work out.

    I suggest eating protein from natural sources during the day. Consuming food such as lean meats, egg whites, and peanut butter will keep you fueled longer since your body needs more time to digest it.

    If you are lifting though you should take additional protein within 30mins of working out. This is when you can take your protein supplement and get the best results. Look for 100% whey protein isolate, which comes in a poweder form. Mix it into water, milk, or another favorite beverage. Your body will digest this very fast and aid in repairing muscle fibers

    With all this protein though it is important to have enough carbs as well. Without carbs, your body will not be able to absorb all the protein you are giving it
